What are cookies?
Like almost all websites, we use cookies — small files downloaded to your device — to improve your browsing experience. This section describes what information is collected in cookies, how we use them, and why cookies are sometimes necessary. We also explain how you can opt out of receiving cookies, although doing so may reduce or interrupt certain features of the site.
How do we use cookies?
We use cookies for several purposes, described below. Unfortunately, in most cases there is no industry-standard way to disable cookies without completely disabling the functionality they add to the site. Where cookies are used to deliver a service you are using, it is recommended to keep all cookies enabled regardless of whether you are certain you need them.
Blocking cookies
You can block cookies by changing your browser settings (see the Help menu). Please be aware that disabling cookies may affect the functionality of this and many other websites you visit. Blocking cookies will usually also disable certain features of the site. We recommend not blocking cookies.
Cookies we set
If you decide to create an account with us, we will use cookies to manage the registration process and administer your data. Cookies are usually deleted when you log out; however, in some cases they may be retained to remember your preferences.
We use cookies to remember your login. This means you do not need to log in on each subsequent visit to the site. These cookies are generally deleted or cleared when you log out to ensure that you can only access restricted features and areas after logging in.
The Nokoma.ai service offers newsletter or email notification services; cookies may be used to remember whether you are registered and whether you will receive notifications sent only to registered users.
When you submit data via a form — for example a contact form or a feedback form — cookies may be set to remember your user data for future correspondence.
To provide you with a good browsing experience, we offer functionality to remember your preferred site settings. To save these settings we need to enable cookies so that this information can be retrieved each time your preferred settings affect your actions on the site.
Third-party cookies
In certain cases we also use cookies provided by trusted third parties. The following section details which third-party cookies you may encounter while using our website.
The Nokoma.ai service uses Google Analytics, one of the most widespread and trusted analytics solutions on the internet, to help us understand how you use the site and to identify ways we can improve your experience. Cookies may store information such as how long you spend on the site and which pages you visit, so we can continue to produce engaging content.
From time to time we test new features and make minor changes to the way content is delivered on the site. While testing new features, cookies may be used to ensure that you receive a consistent site experience, while also providing us with information about which optimisations our users most appreciate.
In some cases we may provide personalised content based on information you share with us directly or indirectly, by linking your on-site account with a social media account. These types of cookies allow us to deliver content that may interest you. We also use social media buttons and/or plugins that allow you to connect the site with a particular social media network. Social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter or Instagram may set their own cookies on our site, which may then be used to enhance your profile on those platforms or to supplement data collected for various purposes defined in their privacy policies.
Cookie categories
Necessary cookies
Necessary cookies ensure the proper functioning of the Service and optimise the website for the devices and browsers most commonly used by visitors, so that your computer or mobile device displays the site correctly and legibly. These cookies also serve to guarantee security and prevent fraud. The use of necessary cookies does not require the User's consent. It is possible to block and delete necessary cookies directly on your device, including via your browser settings. However, blocking these cookies may prevent or significantly impede access to certain functionalities and areas of the Service.
Nokoma.ai currently sets no first-party necessary cookies. Consent preferences are stored in your browser's localStorage.
Analytics cookies
Analytics cookies are used to compile aggregated statistics and analyses that help us understand how the Service is used and how it performs — enabling us to continually improve the structure and content of the site so that it best meets the needs of current and potential Users. Analytics cookies are not necessary for the use of the Service. It is possible to block and delete cookies directly on your device, including via your browser settings.
